Hurricane Harvey was a devastating Category 4 hurricane that made landfall in Texas and Louisiana in August 2017, causing catastrophic flooding and more than 100 deaths.

 After learning about the catastrophe in Houston, we partnered with a local non-profit, The Princess Within Foundation, a girls mentoring program serving at risk communities, led by Dr. Bernada Baker, to raise funding, awareness and bring support to a community devastated by this tragedy.

Through the Princess Within Foundation, Dr. Baker was led to take in, and ultimately adopt an 8 month old baby girl, who was abandoned by her mother, and left with a single father with limited resources to care for his daughter.

We were deeply committed to the success of this adoption, so we provided awareness, as well as financial support to ensure a successful adoption, because it was in alignment with the Foundations mission, which was able to provide a safe space for this baby girl, empowering her to be triumphant and a future leader.
